The Tomlin course is a sprint distance and by definition should be easy in comparison to an olympic, 70.2, or Ironman distance event.  The reality is, the course is challenging.  The only flat portion of the bike and run is the transition area where the bikes are racked.  This being said,  YOU can finish the race.  The Daily Miner is publishing a weekly workout suggestion every Sunday provided by Tim Bolen of Excell Sports and Beyond.

Quite simply,  this race has the best volenteers and the most support for first time triathletes.  Tucson Racing does a great job putting the event together and the awards banquet is a blast. With the exception of Christmas, I look forward to this day more than any other...oh yeah...and my anniversary.
